IPL produces Pistons that are used in Large Bore Engines used in Locomotives, Marine Applications and Industrial Gen-sets. Pistons for Commercial Vehicle, Tractor and Stationary Engine Applications

IPL manufactures a wide range of pistons that can be used in modern internal combustion engines. Our manufacturing expertise allows us to design and produce aluminium piston to increasing loads through advanced development of materials and metal-matrix technologies.

Advantages of Gallery Cooled Pistons:

  • Reduced bowl rim temperature.
  • Reduced top land and ring groove temperatures.
  • Prevention of ring sticking ensuring the efficient operation of compression rings. The piston and ring function are guaranteed for longer life apart from offering reduced lube oil consumption and blow-by.

Pistons for Passenger Car

IPL has Pistons for both Passenger Car Diesel and Gasoline applications. IPL Pistons are either cast or forged and are weight optimized for Passenger Car Gasoline engines. We manufacture cast ring carrier pistons for Passenger Car Diesel Engines made from high temperature resistant aluminum alloys both with and without cooling gallery.
